Flying Nurses completes an initial evaluation with the first phone call. We discuss the patient’s diagnosis, present condition and potential travel needs with the caller as a screening tool to ascertain their appropriateness to travel.
Your Flight Coordinator will work with you to collect all the needed information and complete all of the required documentation prior to your trip.
A thorough medical evaluation is completed by the flight nurse on each patient prior to travel.
Your coordinator will then set up the flight, hotel and other arrangements necessary to ensure that your trip is readily prepared for you to onboard.
Once all of the details have been set, Flying Nurses International will send you a contract to review with the price of the trip and any pertaining details. Pre-payment is accepted using a credit card on a secure site prior to travel.
On the day of, your flight nurse will visit the hospital and receive discharge orders, and accompany you and your family to the airport and throughout the trip to ensure a smooth and safe ride throughout.
We are available 24/7 and can be ready to travel within 48-72 hours dependent on family member needs and flight availability.
