Our Role

Serving patients throughout the entire air medical transport process, from first call to our company to the arrival at the desired destination is the primary role of Flying Nurses International. This includes all aspects of coordination, communication and care provision.

Our team acts as a liaison between patients, their families, insurance companies, healthcare facilities and other parties involved in the transport process. We handle all logistics and arrangements for air travel, ground transportation, medical equipment needs and more.

The experienced flight nurse serves as the patient advocate throughout the journey. They monitor their patient’s health status and provide ongoing care along with any necessary medical interventions. They also offer emotional support and assistance with daily activities to ensure that each patient’s physical and emotional well-being is prioritized.

Our Scope of Care

At Flying Nurses International, the RN flight nurses assist in transporting patients with varied needs or conditions. These include:

• Limited mobility: Some of our clients may require assistance with mobility due to age or medical conditions. We provide specialized care and assistance during transport to ensure their safety and comfort.
• Behavioral, cognitive, and mental disorders: We have extensive experience working with patients who suffer from behavioral and mental disorders such as dementia, Alzheimer’s, and PTSD as well as bipolar disorders, severe depression and schizophrenia . Our staff is trained to provide compassionate care while maintaining safety for both the patient and those around them.
• Orthopedic injuries: For patients with recent or ongoing orthopedic issues, we offer specialized care that includes proper positioning, handling of medical devices, and appropriate transfer assistance. Pulmonary limitations: In many cases, pulmonary limitations will require supplemental oxygen and other specialized care during transport. Our team has the training and experience to ensure that patients with these conditions are able to make safe and comfortable journeys.
